Terms of Service

Last updated: March 10, 2026

Service description

MarkCVI is a free web tool that converts Markdown into branded PDF documents. You can use the editor and live preview without an account. PDF export and saved templates require a free account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse the service with automated or scripted requests that overload our infrastructure.
  • Use MarkCVI to generate documents containing illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
  • Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the service's operation.

Content ownership

You own your content. We do not claim any rights to your markdown input, generated PDFs, or saved templates. Your content is yours to use, share, and distribute as you see fit.

Brand extraction

When you use the brand extraction feature, you confirm that you have the right to extract branding elements from the URLs you provide. You are responsible for ensuring your use of extracted logos, colors, and other brand assets complies with the respective brand owner's guidelines.

No warranty

MarkCVI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the service will meet your specific requirements. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MarkCVI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of MarkCVI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
